Harvey Ellis Fall Front Desk:    $221,000.00
AUCTION HOUSE: SOTHEBY'S
MAKER: GUSTAV

While he worked with Gustav Stickley for only seven months, Harvey Ellis' contributions to the American Arts and Crafts Movement are still appreciated today. This fall front desk characterizes the lightness and delicate decoration that Ellis brought to Stickley's Craftsman Workshops. This desk sold in December 2014 at Sotheby's for $221, 000.00, which is a testament to how well his designs have endured.
