Stickley Brothers Company - Binghamton, New York  (1883-1892)

The Stickley brothers learned furniture-making by working for their uncle Jacob Schlager and his business partner W.H. Brandt.  Gustav, Charles and Albert Stickley started Stickley Brothers and Company in Brandt, Pennsylvania in 1883.  They moved operations across the New York border to Binghamton one year later, making and selling simple Windsor and Shaker-style chairs.  They eventually added more elaborate Colonial Revival rockers and their success opened many new doors for the Stickley family.
